A 27-year-old woman died in Mumbai after accidentally consuming Maggi noodles in which rat poison got mixed by mistake, police said.

While cooking the Maggi noodles, the woman accidentally added a tomato that had earlier been laced with poison to kill rats that had become a nuisance in her home.

The tragic incident occurred in the Malad area of Mumbai's Malad.
