Weather office issues alert on heavy rain in Karnataka, Andhra, Telangana

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert on heavy rainfall in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana today.

The weather bulletin issued today forecasts:

*Heavy rainfall over South Interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema on 22nd June, Coastal Andhra Pradesh during 22nd-24th, Coastal Karnataka & Telangana during 22nd-26th and Interior Karnataka on 25th & 26th June.

*Light to moderate to fairly widespread rainfall with isolated thunderstorms & lightning very likely over the region during next 5 days.

*West India: Light to moderate rainfall very likely over Maharashtra, Gujarat Region during 23rd -25th June and increase thereafter.

Isolated Heavy rainfall also likely over Konkan & Goa during 23rd -26th

*The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some parts of Telangana, remaining parts of Andhra Pradesh, some parts of Odisha, Bay of Bengal , some more parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar today (22nd June).
