Watch: Tumultuous response to PM’s roadshow in Shillong ahead of elections

Before addressing a mammoth crowd gathered at Shillong, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a roadshow in the Capital of Meghalaya. It began at Central Library and ended at the Police Bazar where he addressed a public rally.

The response of the people for the roadshow was massive as they all stood on either side of the road through which PMs cavalcade passed. Responding warmly to their greetings, PM waved back to them.

On his way for the election rally, PM also paid floral tributes to three freedom fighters of the State. These were U Tirot Sing, U Kiang Nangbah and Pa Togan Sangma in Shillong.


The Assembly elections in the State are scheduled on February 27 and the counting will take place on March 2. The BJP is contesting all the 60 seats.
