A video of students slithering down wires to escape a fire in a coaching centre at Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar on Thursday was released by Fire Department officials who rushed to the spot after the blaze.

The fire was reported at 12.30 pm and 11 fire engines rushed to the site to rescue students stuck in the coaching centre.

Four students were injured while coming down the building using wires, the police said.

According to the police, the fire broke out in an electricity metre and students started to panic due to the smoke emanating from the equipment and started rappelling down from the back side of the coaching centre.
