Watch: Indian Army rescues 300 tourists stranded in Sikkim landslide

With more than 2,000 tourists both domestic and foreign stuck in North Sikkim due to a landslide following a flash flood, Indian Army’s Border Road Organisation has swung into action and till now more than 300 have already been rescued. Working throughout the night in heavy rain and bad weather they created a temporary crossing in affected areas.

BRO is making all out efforts to restore the road connectivity while evacuation of tourists will continue.

Apart from people, 345 cars and 11 motorbikes were also stuck at various places in North Sikkim.
