The video shows an entire hill coming crashing down on the Tawaghat-Lipulekh National Highway in Uttarakhand near Najang Tamba village on Friday evening.
All seems still as the video starts, but local villagers who are anticipating the huge chunk of the hill to collapse, can be heard saying “the huge rock is going to fall.”
As many as 40 pilgrims along with locals are reported to be stuck as the Adi Kailash Mansarovar Yatra route which goes via Najang Tamba village has been closed due to the landslide.
The rocks appear to have become loose with incessant rainfall in the region.
Meanwhile, traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway is also reported to have come to a halt following landslides at Mehar area in the Ramban district.
