WATCH: Alert railway staffer runs to save woman from being crushed by train in nick of time

A video that has gone viral shows an alert railway staffer saving a woman from being crushed by a train in the nick of the time at Uttar Pradesh’s Shikohabad station. The woman who chooses the dangerous path of walking across the railway tracks to go from one platform to another is stuck on the tracks and is frantically asking for help to get on to the platform as a train is approaching at high speed.

A railway staffer sprints to the spot and manages to lift her up to the platform merely seconds before the train zips through the station at high speed.

The video also shows the woman indulging in the foolhardy act of picking up a plastic water bottle from the edge of the platform as train speeds through merely inches away.

While the Railway authorities have been constantly warning people to use the foot overbridge to move from one platform to another, it seems there are still those who just won’t listen and are stubborn enough to tread the dangerous path.
