Watch: Alert loco pilots save 3 wild elephants crossing railway tracks in Bengal

Alert locomotive pilots saved the lives of three wild elephants crossing the railway tracks in West Bengal on Friday by slamming the emergency brakes in the nick of time.

A video shared on Twitter by Indian Forest Service officer and wildlife enthusiast Parveen Kaswan, shows the train halting to allow the three elephants to pass safely.

The incident happened between APD Junction and Rajabhatkhawa station at 5:30 am, on Friday.

Because it was early morning it is till dark around and the elephants are only visible due to the train’s headlights.
