The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered an inquiry into the hydraulic failure of an Air Vistara flight which had to return back to Delhi after taking off for Bhubaneshwar with 140 passengers on Monday.
A senior DGCA official said that the plane has been grounded and a detailed probe has been ordered into the matter. All the passengers are safe.
Full emergency was declared for Air Vistara flight from Delhi to Bhubaneswar as Green hydraulic system low ECAM came on, DGCA said. The flight landed safely at 8:19 pm.
The incident comes close on the heels of an IndiGo flight returning to Indira Gandhi International Airport, soon after taking off for Phuket in Thailand on Jan 3 due to a technical glitch.
