Viral video: Cobra’s head gets stuck in beer can, finally freed

A viral video from Odisha shows a cobra, with its head stuck in an empty beer can, struggling to free itself. Locals of Madhipur village in Puri district alerted snake helpline members about the snake in distress due to the careless and irresponsible way in which some people throw around trash.

The experts arrived and with great skill freed the venomous snake by first cutting a small opening in the beer can to let the reptile breathe. Then they covered the snake’s mouth with an open-ended plastic tube and cut the can off to set the snake free. The cobra has now been returned to its natural habitat.
