The incident took place in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, and the woman is suspected to be a professor at a private university in Madhya Pradesh her car bears a sticker mentioning the institution.
There has been outrage against the act among netizens, with sympathy pouring in for the poor roadside fruit vendor who is seen pleading with the woman not to destroy his fruit.
