Video: Union Minister Smriti Irani teaches Microsoft founder Bill Gates how to make khichdi

Union Minister Smriti Irani has shared a video on Twitter where she is teaching Microsoft Co-Founder Bill Gates how to make ‘tadka’ for khichdi,  India’s famous wholesome meal.

“Recognising the Super Food of India and its POSHAN component.. When @BillGates gave tadka to Shree Ann Khichdi!” wrote Smriti Irani while sharing the video.

The clip shows billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates actually trying his hand at cooking as part of the Empowerment Through Nourishment campaign. The Indian minister is seen explaining the cooking process and getting him to actively participate in giving the finishing touches to the khichdi.

Once the tadka is ready, Irani adeptly adds it to the khichdi, and Gates pitches in with stirring. After that he is seen tasting the khichdi in a bowl.

In an earlier video some days ago, Bill Gates was seen making an Indian roti on a tawa. Prime minister Narendra Modi had complimented him on Twitter.
