In a shocking incident that has gone viral on social media, a woman living on the 10th floor of a high-rise in Faridabad on the outskirts of Delhi put her son’s life at risk by dangling him by a saree to drop him on the balcony of the 9th floor flat below so that he could retrieve some clothes that had fallen there. She then pulled him back in the same manner.

The video shows the little boy hanging precariously the saree as he is slowly pulled up from the 9th to the 10th floor.
The incident took place at the Florida apartment complex in Faridabad's Sector 82 on Feb 6.
IPS officer Dipanshu Kabra, who shared the video on Twitter, termed the woman's act "heights of carelessness, insensitivity & irresponsibility".
The boy's mother is reported to have subsequently realised her blunder and regretted her action after being taken to task by shocked residents of the residential complex.
