A giant python swallowed a jackal in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district. A farmer named Sarvesh witnessed the incident and gathered villagers of Lohar Khera village at the spot who then forced the huge snake to spew out it’s the jackal. Forest range officials were also informed and the python weighing 60 kilograms was rescued and later released in the forest.
The python is a constricting snake, meaning they coil around their prey and squeeze them until they are dead in just a couple of minutes. The swallowing takes most of the time. Pythons are not poisonous like Cobras or Kraits and do not bite their victims.
