The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre For Advanced Scientific Research in Bengaluru was flooded on Monday as the city was lashed with incessant rain. The library and a research room have also been affected and it is feared that some research papers may have been damaged due to the water logging.</p>

Several homes in the city&rsquo;s low lying areas are also reported to have been flooded and cars parked in the basement of apartments were also submerged in flood water.</p>

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have deployed boats for their rescue and relief work in the city.</p>
