Video: 30 children rescued after school bus gets stuck in heavily flooded underpass in Telangana’s Mahbubnagar

As many as 30 children were rescued by locals and carried to safety after their school bus got stuck in a flooded railway underpass at Mahbubnagar in Telangana.</p>

The driver of the private school bus failed to see the danger ahead and drove the bus straight into 5 feet of water, police said.</p>
<p>
The children had a traumatic experience as the bus stalled in the middle of the underpass with water all around.</p>
<p>
Luckily local passers-by gauged the danger that the children had fallen into.</p>
<p>
Video footage of the incident shows locals rising to the occasion and ferrying the children from the bus in shoulder-deep water.</p>
<p>
The children were rescued by passers-by when the vehicle belonging to a private school drove into a flooded railway underpass.</p>
<p>
Police officials said the driver did not realise the depth of the water that had risen due to the heavy rain in the region overnight and thought the bus could go through.</p>
