Three arrested for beating Gangetic dolphin to death

A video of a Gangetic dolphin being brutally beaten to death with sticks and rods by a group of men in Uttar Pradesh went viral following which three men have been arrested.

The police in Pratapgarh said in a tweet that the incident took place on December 31 and three of the attackers are in jail. The Gangetic dolphin is a protected species.

The men are seen on the video mercilessly raining blows on the dolphin as blood gushes from its body. A man can also be seen attacking the profusely bleeding dolphin with an axe resulting in its death..
