Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address 12 post-budget webinars starting tomorrow to further outline the targets under the Saptrishi or seven areas of priorities that the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman this month carved out. The webinars series which will end on March 11 are being organised by various ministries.
The Saptarishi priority areas include inclusive development, reaching the last mile, infrastructure and investment, unleashing the potential, green growth, youth power and financial sector.
The webinars will provide a common platform to all stakeholders — experts from the public and private sectors, academia, industry and practitioners to brainstorm action plans and policy measures that have been envisaged in the Budget.
The webinars will be focussed on synergising efforts of various ministers and departments and all concerned stakeholders towards preparation of action plans with quarterly targets so that the implementation is front ended and smooth with timely achievement of intended outcomes, an official release said.
It added that these webinars were started in 2021 in the spirit of Jan Bhagidari and encourage involvement and ownership of all concerned stakeholders in effective, quick and seamless implementation of the Budget announcements.
Earlier, presenting the last full Budget before the country goes to polls, Sitharaman said, “This is the first budget in Amrit Kaal. The world has recognised Indian economy as a bright star.”
