A team of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has busted a rave party on board a luxury cruise ship off the Mumbai coast and detained 8 to 10 people including Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan for questioning in the case.
Banned drugs such as cocaine, hashish, and MDMA have been seized from the ship.
Acting on a tip-off, NCB officials led by zonal director Sameer Wankhede boarded the ship disguised as passengers on Saturday.

The rave party began after the ship had left the coast and was out at sea. Following this, NCB officials present on the ship cracked down and detained a number of individuals who were seen openly consuming illegal drugs.
NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede said seven to eight people have been detained after the raid on The Empress cruise ship which was inaugurated merely two weeks ago.
"So far no arrest has been made by us," Sameer Wankhede, NCB Zonal Director said while speaking to journalists.
"We have intercepted some persons. The probe is underway. Drugs have been recovered. We are investigating 8-10 persons," Mr Wankhede told reporters.
"I can't comment on it", added Mr Wankhede when asked, "Was any celebrity present at the party?"
Drug smuggling has also been increasing on the western coast. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence had also seized close to 3,000 kg of heroin at Gujarat's Mundra port last month. Prior to this a big haul of heroin being smuggled in through the JNPT port in Mumbai was also seized.
