Rare video: Snow leopard pounces on prey and somersaults down steep cliff

The snow leopard is referred to as the “ghost of the mountains” because the animal is extremely difficult to sight given its natural ability to stay hidden and camouflaged.

A rare video shows a snow leopard hunting down its prey with remarkable speed and agility. The big cat pounces on what appears to be a mountain deer in a final burst of speed and comes hurtling down the cliff in a series of somersaults but doesn’t let go of its prey.
