Rare black panther spotted at West Bengal’s Buxa Tiger Reserve

A rare black panther has been spotted at the Buxa Tiger Reserve in Alipurduar sub-division of Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal</p>
<p>
Photos of the majestic big cat roaming the wild in the night, captured in camera traps at the tiger reserve, have swiftly gone viral on Twitter and given wildlife lovers a cause for cheer.</p>
<p>
The northern boundary of the Buxa reserve runs along the international border with Bhutan. The Sinchula hill range lies all along the northern side of the tiger reserve and the Eastern boundary touches that of the Assam State.</p>
<p>
Black panthers, though rare, can be seen in Karnataka’s  Kabini Wildlife Sanctuary as well as Anshi Dandeli Sanctuary in the state and at Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve of Tamil Nadu.</p>
