Rapper Honey Singh gets death threat from Goldy Brar echoing Sidhu Moosewala’s murder

In what has brought law enforcement agencies on their toes, singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has allegedly received a death threat from gangster Goldy Brar. Singh, who claims to have been thoroughly shaken and scared for his life, met Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora and sought security following which an FIR was registered by the special cell of police.

The alleged call rings alarm bells for the Punjabi music industry that is yet to recover from the brutal murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala which was orchestrated by Goldy Brar. Brar has through social media claimed responsibility saying he had killed Sidhu Moosewala to avenge the death of Vicky Middukhera.

“I and my entire family are very scared. Who won’t fear death? I was in America when my manager got threat calls where the caller threatened to eliminate me. I have received a threat for the first time in my life and I am scared. We received some voice notes also. We received these threats from international phone numbers.” I have requested the police to provide me security and take this matter seriously,” said Singh.

The Delhi police issued a statement stating Singh’s manager Rohit Chabra got the calls. “The caller introduced himself as Goldy Brar and demanded extortion money of 50 Lakh rupees. Thereafter his manager received random calls and voice messages for extortion from the same number. On receipt of complaint, prompt action has been taken and a case FIR No. 164/23 U/S 387/506 IPC got registered at PS Special Cell,” read the statement.

Punjab-origin Satinderjit Singh Brar, nicknamed as Goldy Brar, the alleged mastermind in the killing of famed singer Sidhu Moosewala and an affiliate of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, has been listed among Canada’s 25 most wanted fugitives in the country. Wanted by Royal Canadian Mounted Police for murder, Brar’s name figured in the ‘Bolo (Be On the Lookout) program’. He reached Canada on a student visa in 2017.
