PM Modi rolls out projects worth Rs 3,050 crore in Navsari tribal area of Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of multiple development projects worth Rs 3,050 crores in the Navsari tribal area of Gujarat on Friday.

These projects will help in improving the water supply in the region, along with boosting connectivity and enhancing the ease of living.

Addressing a massive gathering to mark 'Gujarat Gaurav Abhiyan' in Navsari, PM Modi said, "The rapid development in the state during the last two decades is a matter of great pride for the Gujarat.”

“The double engine BJP government is sincerely carrying forward the glorious tradition of development for all and a new aspiration born out of this development,” he explained.

PM Modi pointed out that in the last 8 years, following the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” the Union government has put utmost emphasis on the welfare of the people in the state.

Earlier, it used to take months for campaigns such as vaccination to reach forest areas where tribals reside but now they are implemented there simultaneously along with urban areas, the PM said.

Taking a swipe at the Congress, the Prime Minister said those who ruled the country for a long time, never took interest in the development of tribal areas as it requires hard work.

Later in the day, PM will also inaugurate AM Naik Healthcare Complex and Nirali Multi Speciality Hospital in Navsari.

PM Modi will also inaugurate the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) headquarters Bopal in Ahmedabad.

IN-SPACe will be the nodal agency that will allow the use of Department of Space-owned facilities by non-government private entities and ensure their participation in the space sector. It will be a single-window nodal agency which will permit and oversee Space activities including the building of launch vehicles and satellites, as approved by the Union Cabinet in June 2020.

Before taking over as the Prime Minister in 2014, PM Modi was the longest-serving Chief Minister of Gujarat with his term extending from October 2001 to May 2014.
