Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced that in memory of the struggles and sacrifices of our people, 14th August will be observed as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.</p>

The solemn occasion will be observed a day before Independence Day. The Prime Minister emphasised that the day will serve as a reminder of the need to remove social divisions and strengthen the spirit of oneness.</p>
