PM Modi and President Kovind express shock and grief over ‘outstanding soldier’ General Rawat’s tragic death

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat’s demise in a tragic helicopter crash.</p>

In his tweet, President Ram Nath Kovind expressed shock and anguish at the untimely demise of Gen. Rawat. His tweet read:</p>

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed his deep anguish at the demise of Gen. Rawat, his wife and 11 other Armed Forces personnel. He referred to Rawat's death as an irreparable loss. In his Twitter he wrote:</p>
