In his tweet, President Ram Nath Kovind expressed shock and anguish at the untimely demise of Gen. Rawat. His tweet read:</p>

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed his deep anguish at the demise of Gen. Rawat, his wife and 11 other Armed Forces personnel. He referred to Rawat&#39;s death as an irreparable loss. In his Twitter he wrote:</p>
