PM inaugurates swanky Bhopal station, railway projects in MP & kicks off work on 50 new schools for tribal kids

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday dedicated to the nation key railway projects in Madhya Pradesh on Friday and also virtually laid the foundation stone from Bhopal for construction work to start on 50 new Eklavya Model Residential Schools for tribal students in 27 districts across 7 States and 1 UT.</p>
<p>
PM Modi dedicated to the nation the redeveloped Rani Kamalapati Railway Station in Bhopal which is the country's first ISO certified and first PPP model based railway station. The facilities which were once available at the airport are now available at the railway station, he added.</p>
<p>
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that not only has the historical railway station of Bhopal been rejuvenated, but its importance has got enhanced with the addition of the name of Rani  Kamalapati ji.</p>
<p>
“Today the pride of Indian Railways has also been added to the pride of Gondwana,” he remarked.</p>
<p>
The Prime Minister also dedicated to the nation many other initiatives of the Railways in Madhya Pradesh including new railway lines that have been converted to broad gauge and electrified. These include Ujjain-Fatehabad Chandrawatiganj section, third line in Bhopal-Barkhera section, Mathela-Nimar Kheri section and Guna-Gwalior section.</p>

Besides, he flagged off two new fast MEMU trains between Ujjain-Indore and Indore-Ujjain.</p>
<p>
Prime Minister Modi also led the celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on 15th November 2021.</p>
<p>
At the outset, the Prime Minister virtually inaugurated the Birsa Munda Freedom Fighter Museum at Ranchi paying tribute to tribal heroes who sacrificed their lives during the freedom struggle. </p>
<p>
Continuing with the mission to build strong edifice of quality education for tribal students, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for construction of 50 new Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) for tribal students in 27 districts of 7 States and 1 UT through virtual mode from Bhopal.</p>
<p>
The Union Budget for 2018-19 announced that every block with more than 50% scheduled tribes population and at least 20,000 tribal persons will have Eklavya Model Residential Schools.</p>
<p>
Recognizing the tribal culture and language of tribal students, Sh. Narendra Modi said, “Under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (India @ 75) a resolve has been taken to establish nearly 750 Eklavya Model Residential Schools to support the education of tribal students. Out of that, a large number of schools are already functional.”</p>
<p>
He also highlighted that the per student expenditure borne by the Central Government has increased from Rs 40,000 per student to more than Rs. 1,00,000 which shall lead to availing of quality education opportunities by tribal students.</p>
<p>
The schools cater to students from class VI to class XII, having a capacity of 480 students in each school. At present, there are 367 functional schools across the country.</p>
