Pet dog locked in car suffocates to death as owners visit Taj Mahal

In a shocking incident, a pet dog died as pet owners left the animal locked in a car for several hours while they went visit the historic Taj Mahal in Agra.

The pet dog died due to lack of ventilation in the oppressive heat where there was no access to water either. The animal was found inside the car with a Haryana number plate parked at Westgate Parking of the Taj Mahal .

A video of the tragic incident shot by locals in the vicinity who first spotted the dog lying dead in the car has surfaced on the internet. The locals can be heard criticising the pet owners for being so callous as to have left the dog in the heat without ventilation. They could have left the dog with us to look after, one of them can be heard saying.

The video was tagged to the police to inform them about the incident. The UP Police promptly responded and asked the Agra police to investigate the matter.
