The owner of the Radisson Blu hotel in Ghaziabad’s Kaushambi was found dead at his Delhi residence in the Commonwealth games (CWG) village on Saturday, officials said.
The deceased identified as Amit Jain was found hanging in his flat and is believed to have committed suicide. Police do not suspect any foul play at this point.
Police received the information about the suicide through a PCR call.
A senior police officer said during the enquiry, it was revealed that Mr Jain had come to his house at CWG village in the morning after having breakfast at his new house in Noida to which the family is shifting.
Mr Jain’s son, who had gone to the CWG flat with his driver to pick up some belongings as part of the shifting, found him hanging. He was immediately rushed to Max Hospital in Patparganj where he was declared dead.
Police said, further inquiry is underway. According to sources, it is suspected that Amit Jain was under a heavy debt burden due to which he committed suicide. However, no suicide note has been found as yet.
