<p>
People travelling in private cars in Delhi without face masks will not be fined from Monday, the national capital&#39;s disaster management authority decided at a meeting held today.</p>
<p>
The earlier rule exempted only those driving alone in their cars to not wear a mask. The directive was passed after the Delhi High Court termed the rule &quot;absurd&quot; and asked why it was still in force.</p>
<p>
The penalty for not wearing face masks in public places has also been reduced from Rs&nbsp; 2,000 to Rs 500.</p>
<p>
The Delhi government had announced on Friday that night curfew will end from Monday as Covid-19 cases have come down in the city. Shops and&nbsp; restaurants can now remain open till late at night.</p>
<p>
The Home Ministry had sent an advisory to all states and Union Territories to consider relaxing restrictions due to Covid on social, sports, and religious events as well to pave the way for normalcy to return.</p>
