NIRF Rankings 2022: IIT Madras ranked best in India for both Overall & Engineering categories again

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today announced the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF Rankings 2022).</p>
<p>
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) was ranked the best institute in the country in both ‘Overall’ and ‘Engineering’ Categories. The institute bagged the top rank in the overall category for the fourth consecutive year and was placed at the number 1 spot in the engineering category for the seventh consecutive year.</p>

University of Delhi has been ranked at the 19th spot which is below Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University in the overall category.  </p>
<p>
The NIRF Ranking 2022 was released for eleven categories- Overall, University, Management, College, Pharmacy, Medical, Engineering, Architecture, ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements), Law and Research Institutions.</p>
<p>
The NIRF ranking 2022 started in 2016. The ranking parameters differ for all the categories. The rankings to colleges, universities and institutes are being adopted on the basis of Teaching, Learning and Resources; Research and Professional Practice; Graduation Outcomes; Outreach and Inclusivity and Peer Perception.</p>
