NIA list of 28 Punjab gangsters abroad reveals Khalistani links

Chandigarh: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today released a list of 28 gangsters, all hailing from Punjab and hiding in foreign countries.  The list belies the claim of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann that Goldy Brar, a gangster who features in the list, has been detained in the US.  “We will soon bring him back to India,” he had claimed during the course of Gujarat elections.

The next on the list after Satinder Singh Goldy Brar originally hailing from Muktsar sahib district and considered the person behind the killing pop singer Sidhu Moosewala last year in May, is Anmol Bishnoi, a brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, hailing from Fazilka district.

While in India he killed 2 people in Nanded sahib in Maharashtra and escaped to Nepal. Later he was picked up by the ISI men working in the Himalayan country and taken to Pakistan.

Punjab police sources say Rinda is slated to be appointed as the next chief of the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) in place of Harminder Singh Mintu who died of a heart attack in Nabha jail in 2021.

Sandeep Grewal alias Sunny Khawajke now aligned with the Bishnoi gang is the brother of gangster Ravi Khawajka who was killed in Ludhiana while attending a marriage party. A rival gang of Davinder Bambiha was responsible for his murder. The Bambihas and the Bishnois are rival gangs. The former killed Vicky Middukhera in Mohali in 2021 and as a retaliation Bishnoi gang killed Sidhu Moosewala in 2022.

Punjab police say Supreet Singh alias Harry Chatha is an associate of gangster Sukh Bakhariwal responsible for the murder of Shaurya Chakra awardee comrade Balwinder Singh resident of Bhikhiwind in Tarn Taran. The Bhakhariwal gang is responsible for 15 killings in border areas. Sukh Bakhariwal was arrested by Delhi police’s operation cell from Dubai. He is currently lodged in Tihar jail.
