NIA court gives ultimatum to Khalistani terrorist Neeta to surrender in 30 days

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) court has issued an ultimatum to Khalistani terrorist Ranjit Singh Neeta to either surrender or face strictest action. The Mohali based special NIA court has issued a proclamation notice against him giving him a 30-day timeframe for his surrender. Noting that Neeta is absconding, he has been directed to appear before the NIA court in Mohali.

The notice reads, “A complaint has been lodged that Ranjeet Singh Neeta, son of Darshan Singh, resident of Jammu, has committed the offence under the above said case and warrant has been issued, while Neeta cannot be found.” “To answer the said complaint till 14.09.2023 or within 30 days from the date of publication of such proclamation. Report of the NIA in respect of the publication is awaited for 14.09.2023,” the notice added.

These notices have been pasted in the Simbal area of Jammu against Neeta. Khalistan Zindabad Force chief Neeta, who hails from Jammu, is reportedly based in Pakistan.

Neeta is implicated in various terror and explosive-related cases across the Punjab-Jammu region. He is connected to significant incidents, including the bomb blast on the Jhelum Express near Ambala in December 1996 and 1997. He was also involved in orchestrating two bus bombings in Pathankot, causing the loss of lives and destruction. The NIA has implicated him in these incidents.

Neeta’s involvement extends to the Shalimar Express blast in June 1998, the Pooja Express blast near Pathankot in November 1999, and the Sealdah Express blast in February 2000. Additionally, investigations have linked him to the planning and execution of the blast at Kailash Guest House in Paharganj, Delhi, resulting in injuries to eight individuals.

His record of involvement continues with the July 2009 attack on Rashtriya Sikh Sangat chief Rulda Singh in Patiala, resulting in Singh’s unfortunate demise. Neeta was also implicated in the May 2009 attack on Sant Ramanand and Sant Niranjan Das at a Gurdwara in Vienna, Austria, leading to the death of Sant Ramanand and serious injuries to Sant Niranjan Das.
