NEET J&K topper's achievement will bring positive change: Lieutenant Governor

Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said the achievement of Basit Bilal Khan, the state topper in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), will bring a positive change among the youth of Kashmir.Sinha met Basit at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar on Tuesday.

The Lt. Governor congratulated the NEET state topper on his feat and commended him for setting an example for all the youngsters.

"I wish him many more laurels in the future. He represents our future and his hard work and perseverance are going to inspire many to achieve their goals," Sinha added.

Applauding the efforts of young NEET qualifiers from across the Union Territory, Sinha remarked that he is well aware of the inherent strengths of people in the region and the government is committed to provide the requisite environment for their progress.

"Our youngsters deserve every opportunity to achieve their dreams and it is our duty to provide the resources and support they need to succeed," Sinha said.

These achievements will go a long way in bringing positive changes in the society and all the young achievers will be the key drivers of socio-economic growth and community development in J&K, the Lt. Governor observed.

The 18-year-old Basit who hails from Narwa area in Pulwama was accompanied by his father Bilal Ahmad Khan and Chief Education Officer, Pulwama, Soni Sonam. He has scored 695 marks out of 720, securing 99.98 percentile in the 2020 NEET exam whose results were declared recently.

Sinha congratulated all the qualifiers and wished them success in their future endeavours..
