Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Neeraj Chopra on winning the gold medal in javelin in Tokyo Olympics 2020

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Neeraj Chopra on Saturday for winning the gold medal in the javelin throw at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, saying what &ldquo;young Neeraj has achieved today will be remembered forever.&rdquo;</p>
<p>
The Prime Minister also said that Neeraj displayed remarkable passion and unparalleled grit in achieving the extraordinary feat.</p>
<p>
The Prime Minister who has been very keenly following the performance of the Indian athletes also congratulated wrestler Bajrang Punia for winning a bronze medal and was all praise for the spectacular performance of young golfer Aditi Ashok who missed a medal by a whisker.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

After Chopra won the javelin gold, the Prime Minister tweeted:</p>

The Prime Minister has in fact broken new ground in his rapport with Indian athletes by offering to have ice cream with badminton double Olympic medal winner when she returns from the Tokyo Games. The young athlete is quite elated and looking forward to the opportunity.</p>
