A four-month-old baby boy died after he was thrown off the roof of a three-storey house by a monkey in a village in Uttar Pradesh&rsquo;s Bareilly district, a senior forest department official has confirmed.</p>

Bareilly Chief Conservator of Forests Lalit Verma said that the incident has been reported from Dhunka village in the district and a team of forest department has been sent to conduct an investigation, according to a PTI report.</p>

A pack of monkeys surrounded a young couple on the third floor of their home and the baby fell from the hands of the 25-year-old father, Naresh Upadhya. One of the monkeys in the troop pounced on the baby boy and immediately threw him off the roof, killing him on the spot.</p>

Nirdesh Upadhyay and his wife had tried to drive away the monkeys but failed in their attempt. It was when they were running away from the spot that the infant fell on the ground.</p>
