<p>
A massive fire broke out in Delhi&#39;s historic Chandni Chowk early in the morning today destroying several shops in the market opposite Red Fort.</p>
<p>
The fire in Lajpat Rai market started at around 4.45 am and a dozen fire engines were rushed to the spot to tackle the blaze.</p>
<p>

Photos from the spot show huge flames gutting the shops as fire fighters and local residents fight the blaze.</p>

The exact reason for the fire is still not known.</p>
