Kind-hearted Kolkata traffic cop helps homeless boy with school lessons

A kind-hearted Kolkata traffic policeman Sergeant Prakash Ghosh has become a big hit on social media after a photo of him helping an eight-year-old homeless boy on the street with his school lessons was posted on the internet.</p>

The photo, shot by a local journalist, of the boy sitting under a tree by the roadside along with his school bag and pencil box as the cop teaches him, has touched many hearts.</p>
<p>
Ghosh, who is often on duty near Ballygunge ITI in south Kolkata, had noticed the boy and his mother in the area. They are homeless and live on the pavement.</p>
<p>
After the mother complained that her son was losing interest in his studies, the policeman was deeply moved and decided to help the boy, who is a Class III student.</p>
