Kamov 31 helicopter successfully completes night ops from INS Vikrant
Indian Navy’s aircraft carrier INS Vikrant is now proven ready for night operations with helicopters as successful trials were completed with the landing of Kamov 31 chopper for the first time.
The Indian Navy officials in a statement said, “Maiden landing of helicopters by night onboard INS Vikrant was achieved on 28 March by Kamov 31 helicopter. The trials successfully thereby proved night ops from INS Vikrant. As part of the trials, the lighting aids & shipborne systems were proven from the indigenous carrier.”
