Indian Navy to conduct sailing regattas and sail parade in Kochi, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam

The first regatta and parade is scheduled to be conducted by Indian Naval Watermanship Training Center, Kochi in Ernakulam channel on September 23

The Indian Navy will be holding sailing regattas and a sail parade as part of commemorative activities of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The event will be organised under the aegis of Indian Naval Sailing Association (INSA) in all the three Command Headquarters to poularise the sport among locals.

The first regatta and parade is scheduled to be conducted by Indian Naval Watermanship Training Center, Kochi in Ernakulam channel on September 23.

A total of 75 naval personnel will participate and showcase their yachting skills during the event.

With Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of the Southern Naval Command in attendance, the Indian naval ocean sailing vessels, sailing boats and sailing dinghies of Command will take part in the regatta and sail parade.

The Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Yachting events at Mumbai and Visakhapatnam are scheduled to be held in months of October and November respectively.
