India beat Pakistan 4-3 to clinch bronze in Asian Champions Trophy

<p>
<strong>The Indian men's hockey team won the bronze medal at the Asian Champions Trophy in Dhaka after beating arch-rivals Pakistan 4-3 in the third-place play-off match on Wednesday.</strong></p>
<p>
India was awarded a hat-trick of penalty corners within a minute into the game, with Harmanpreet Singh opening the account. </p>
<p>
Pakistan's Afraz scored the equaliser soon as both teams ended an intense first quarter at 1-1.</p>
<p>
Abdul Rana helped Pakistan take an early lead in the second half by converting a penalty corner.</p>
<p>
It was Sumit's turn to get the equaliser as he put the ball in the net from a close range.</p>
<p>
The scores were levelled at 2-2 at the end of third quarter with an exciting 15 minutes remaining on the clock.</p>
<p>
The 'Men in Blue' took the lead once again in the final quarter with Varun Kumar making no mistake in converting a penalty corner.</p>
<p>
Akashdeep Singh then scored the fourth goal for India to make it 4-2.</p>
<p>
With less than three minutes remaining in the game, Pakistan managed to pull one back but it failed to stop India from romping home for a third-place finish in the tournament.</p>
