India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast unseasonal light to moderate rain in several states, including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Maharashtra on Friday.
In South India, light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is predicted over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Interior Karnataka and Kerala during the next three days. Isolated hailstorm is also expected over Telangana on April 7, the IMD said.
In West India, the weather office has predicted light to moderate rain accompanied with thunderstorms over Maharashtra during the next five days and isolated hailstorm likely over Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada on April 7.
IMD has also forecast light rainfall with gusty winds over Odisha and Chhattisgarh on April 7.
Northeast India is likely to receive light to moderate widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, IMD said.
The weather office has also stated that there will be no heatwave conditions over any part of the country during the next five days.
