IAS officer got only 35% in English & 36% in Maths in his Class X exam, marksheet goes viral

Tushar D Sumera, the district collector of Bharuch in Gujarat, barely secured passing marks in the exams. He got a mere 35% marks in English and 36%  in Mathematics. But he did not let this come in the way of his eventually getting selected to India’s top service.</p>
<p>
The IAS officer has boldly disclosed his marksheet to send a message across to youngsters just ahead of their state board results so that they do not despair in case they get poor marks.</p>

A picture of Mr Sumera along with the report card was shared on Twitter by Awanish Sharan, a 2009 batch IAS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre</p>

"Sharing his mark sheet, Bharuch Collector Tushar Sumera has said that he scored only passing marks in class 10 board exams. Out of 100, he got only 35 in English and 36 in Maths. Not only in the entire village but also at his school, he was told that he can't do anything," the post reads.</p>
<p>
Tushar Sumera has also written a thank you note for Mr Sharan on Twitter. </p>
<p>
Tushar Sumera was selected as an IAS officer in 2012. He is a Bachelor of Arts and worked as a school teacher before cracking the UPSC examination.</p>
