<strong>President Ram Nath Kovind&#39;s special gesture of surprising Prime Minister Narendra Modi by breaking protocol and receiving him at the helipad at his native village Paraunkh in Kanpur Dehat on Friday continues to be applauded across the country nearly 24 hours after the PM&#39;s visit.</strong></p>

Reflecting on the heart-warming moment, PM Modi had said that the &#39;sanskaars&#39; that the President received from the soil of Paraunkh village are being witnessed by the world.<br />

&quot;I am humbled by Rashtrapati Ji&#39;s special gesture. It shows his humility, simplicity and greatness.&nbsp; When I expressed gratitude and wanted to know why he did this, he instantly said – you have come to my village, it is a part of our culture to do so!&quot; tweeted Prime Minister Modi on Friday night.<br />

During his visit, President Kovid had thanked Prime Minister Modi for accepting his invitation to come to his native village. He said that not only his village, his district was also touched by his gracious presence.&nbsp;</p>

As they visited the Pathri Mata Mandir, Milan Kendra at his native village and also paid tributes at the statue of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, President Kovind said that the PM Modi is constantly striving to make the life of every citizen easy.</p>

&quot;He has given new dimensions to the meaning of serving Mother India. He has also given new meaning to the concept of national service and public welfare,&quot; he said.&nbsp;</p>

The Prime Minister said that he felt the strength of the ideal villages of India in Paraunkh. He said that the village is a fine example of &#39;Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat&#39;. He bowed to the thought process and imagination of the father of the President and his penchant for pilgrimage and bringing stones and articles of faith from places of faith all over the country.</p>
