Heavy rains and strong winds lashed Delhi and the national capital region early this morning, triggering power blackouts and disrupting flights.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said thundershower with moderate rainfall and gusty winds with speeds of 60-90 Km/h would continue to occur over entire Delhi and NCR during the next two hours.

IMD said vulnerable structures could be damaged due to the thunderstorm, and traffic disruptions are likely in the national capital.
The airport authorities have requested passengers to contact their airline for updated flight information before heading for the airport.

"Due to bad weather, flight operations at Delhi airport are affected. Passengers are requested to get in touch with the airline concerned for updated flight information," Delhi Airport tweeted.
