Heavy rain lashes Bengaluru, Northern states too likely to get respite from heat wave tomorrow

While several parts of Bengaluru received heavy rains and a hailstorm today, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) also said that the heat wave sweeping the northern states is likely to abate from tomorrow.

The weather department has given a 'heavy rain' forecast for Bengaluru for three more days and a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunder development at isolated places over Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, east Rajasthan and parts of Uttar Pradesh from tomorrow. This is likely to give some respite to these states.

Several states in India are reeling under an intense heat wave. The temperature crossed 46 degrees Celsius today at a few places in Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and Delhi.
