<strong>Using its vast reach and access to data, pictures and footage of historical and important events, the software giant Google has launched an online project &ldquo;India Ki Udaan&rdquo; to celebrate India&rsquo;s 75 years of Independence &ndash; Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.</strong></p>
<p>
Unveiled at New Delhi in the presence of G. Kishan Reddy, the Union Culture and Tourism Minister, the project executed by Google Arts &amp; Culture, draws from rich archives and features artistic pictures to narrate the story of India. It is themed on &ldquo;the unwavering and undying spirit of India over these past 75 years&quot;.</p>

The online collection, while paying tribute to India&#39;s rich cultural history, includes iconic moments from the last 75 years which viewers can enjoy, experience, relive and be inspired by.</p>

In a report NDTV quoting Google said: &quot;This initiative offers a unique view of India&#39;s remarkable moments and lets people discover some of the most memorable moments in India&#39;s modern history, its iconic personalities, its proudest scientific and sporting achievements, and how women in India continue to inspire the world. This commemorative collection will be expanded with a unique blend of archives and artistry for people in India and across the globe.&quot;</p>
<p>
The iconic moments are titled as &ldquo;The Foundations of Independence&rdquo;, &ldquo;Unforgettable Wins&rdquo;, &ldquo;Inspirational Women&rdquo;, &ldquo;To infinity and beyond&rdquo; and &ldquo;And the Award goes to&hellip;&rdquo;.</p>

The viewers in this project can explore more than 120 illustrations and 21 stories. Besides, it includes exhibitions from various institutions, including the Ministry of Tourism, the Indian Academy of Sciences, the Heritage Directorate of the Indian Railways, the Museum of Art and Photography, and the Dastkari Haat Samiti.</p>

Apart from this Google announced that its popular Doodle4Google contest for 2022, themed on &#39;In the next 25 years, my India will ?&#39;, is now open for entries to students of Classes I to X.</p>

In its statement, Google said: &quot;The winner of this year&#39;s Doodle4Google will see their artwork on the Google homepage in India on November 14, and win a Rs 5,00,000 college scholarship, a Rs 2,00,000 technology package for their school/non-profit organisation, a recognition of achievement, Google hardware, and fun Google collectibles. Four group winners and 15 finalists will also win exciting prizes.&rdquo;</p>
