First Bharat Gaurav train run by pvt operator flagged off in Tamil Nadu

<strong>Tuesday was a special day for Indian Railways as the first train under the Bharat Gaurav scheme to be run by private operator – South Star Rail — was flagged off. This makes the Southern Railway the first zone to get its registered service provider under the scheme.</strong></p>

Running from Coimbatore North to Sainagar Shirdi the train took off at 6 p.m. on June 14 and is scheduled to reach its destination at 7.25 a.m. on June 16, while touching Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Yelahanka, Dharmavaram, Mantralayam Road and Wadi. It will stop at Mantralayam Road station for five hours to allow passengers to have darshan at Mantralayam temple.</p>

Among the notable features of this train are a doctor on board to attend emergency medical needs of the passengers; private security besides Railway Police Force to protect the train; electricians, AC mechanic and fire and safety officers on board; maintenance of housekeeping services by a well- known service provider; caterers who will provide high class vegetarian fare; and provision of high bass-sounding speakers and on-rail radio jockey to entertain the passengers.</p>

Besides, devotional songs, spiritual stories and live interviews will be broadcast for the passengers.</p>

On its return journey, on June 17, this train will stop at Wadi, Dharmavaram, Yelahanka, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur.</p>
<p>
The theme-based Bharat Gaurav trains were launched by the Indian Railways in November  2021 to showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and the world while tapping the tourism potential of India.</p>
