An earthquake of 3.8 magnitude was recorded at Jhajjar in Haryana with tremors that shook Delhi and its adjoining areas on Sunday morning, the National Center for Seismology said.
There were no reports of any injuries or damage in the earthquake on the first day of the New Year.
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.8, Occurred on 01-01-2023, 01:19:42 IST, Lat: 28.71 and Long: 76.62, Depth: 5 Km, Location: 12km NNW of Jhajjar, Haryana,” said National Center for Seismology.
In November, too, strong tremors had rocked Delhi and the national capital region after a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck Uttarakhand with its epicentre near the Nepal border.
