Delhi-NCR was hit by an earthquake measuring 5.8-magnitude
Delhi and National Capital Region experienced an earthquake today which lasted for several seconds.
The tremors of the quake of 5.8 magnitude which struck Nepal were felt across Delhi, said a tweet by the National Centre for Seismology.
The head of National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, Monika Dahal told the media that the quake measuring 5.9 magnitude was felt in wider areas of Western Nepal as well in some parts of India.
Last month, Western Nepal felt three tremors in quick succession.
On January 5, a quake of 5.8 magnitude had hit the Hindu Kush area of Afghanistan while on January 1, Delhi-NCR region felt a quake of 3.8 magnitude.
