Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia inaugurated direct flights between Indore and Chandigarh today.
The operation of this new route by IndiGo will enhance regional connectivity and promote trade, commerce, and tourism between these cities.
The IndiGo flights will operate three days a week. The flight will leave Indore at 10.05 am on the 2,4 & 6th day of the week and arrive in Chandigarh at 11.50 am. The return flight will start from Chandigarh at 12.30 and land in Indore at 1440 hours.
The minister congratulated the residents of both cities and said that it is a matter of great joy that a new route is being enabled for Madhya Pradesh’s economic capital, on the special occasion of the Foundation Day of the State.
The Minister also said that the Government was making significant efforts to provide additional international flights to Chandigarh airport.
Officials from IndiGo and AAI and the two state governments also attended the event.
